
Engg student dies by suicide
Bengaluru: A 20-year-old engineering student committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Vasanth Vallabha Nagar in Subramanyapura.The complaint stated that the deceased Vedanth S, a third-year BE student at a private college in Channasandra, was found missing by his cousin Viphul, who was also studying at the same college. Both were staying at home as the vacation was on.On the night of September 6, they had dinner as usual and went to sleep on the first floor after they chatted till around 11.30 pm.Former Delhi chief secretary Rakesh Mehta commits suicide: OfficialsVedanth later went to a room on the second floor, where he allegedly hung himself.The next morning, Viphul found Vedanth missing, searched for him and called his number. Receiving no response, he called their family members, who searched the house and found the door of a second-floor room locked from inside. When they looked in, they found Vedanth hanging.Subramanyapura police have registered a case of unnatural death as they found no suicide note. The family was also clueless about the reason for the extreme step.Police suspect that Vedanth might have been distressed over an issue he had not disclosed at home. His father is into the real-estate business.
