An FIR has been registered against BJP corporator and officials of Ballari City Corporation (BCC) accusing them of hatching a conspiracy to delete names of the voters in the electoral roll of Bellary City constituency.Based on a complaint lodged by Congress Booth Level Assistant, a case has been registered against BJP Corporator Srinivas Motkar, BCC Assistant Commissioner Nandish, BLO Sumalatha, case worker Sharanabasava and others.According to the complaint, Corporator Motkar had made a representation to the election officials on September 21 to re-verify the names of 7,561 found in the draft voter list published on August 24. The election officials had rejected the representation by issuing an endorsement stating that it was not supported by valid documents or evidence.However, on September 22, as many as 7,561 Form-7 were filed.
