Urban Development Minister Yathindra Siddaramaiah has said that just as the government has cancelled the alternative site allotments made since 2023 under the 50:50 scheme by the Mysuru Development Authority (MDA), formerly known as the Mysuru Urban Development Authority, such allotments made since 2019 will also be cancelled too. The government will also assess site allotments made even before 2019 to check if there were any irregularities, he said on Friday. He added that they are getting a list of sites allotted in this period where houses have been constructed. They would decide about the sites where owners have approached the court.Karnataka scraps 1,100 illegal 50:50 site allotments by MDARegarding BJP’s protest demanding dropping of Minister B Nagendra from  the Cabinet, he said BJP leaders should have discussed about it in the Assembly session but instead they created chaos and are protesting now. “Nagendra has not done any mistake. The Congress high command will decide about dropping him from the Cabinet,” he said.
