Activist Sonam Wangchuk hit back at Aamir Khan’s claim that the two have never met in a witty Ghajini style.The controversy began when Wangchuk was on an indefinite hunger strike as part of Cockroach Janta Party (CJP)-led students’ protest over NEET paper leak demanding then Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation.While several celebrities voiced support for Wangchuk, netizens questioned Aamir’s silence. Perhaps he was so immersed in the Ghajini character that he suffered short-term memory loss and forgot about it within 15 minutes. So, I’m not surprised. Otherwise, we had met in great detail,” he said.The witty jibe was a reference to Aamir’s character, Sanjay Singhania, who suffers from short-term memory loss in the film.”We often hear that actors get so deeply into their characters. Maybe he got so immersed in Ghajini that when he came to the awards function where I was receiving an honour, he forgot that too.
