Garbage truck, parked lorry claim two lives in separate crashes

Bengaluru: Two people were killed in separate road accidents in north Bengaluru on Monday.In the first incident, 68-year-old RA Babu, a resident of Kaval Bairasandra, was killed after a garbage truck rammed his motorcycle near Goraguntepalya around 9.30 am.Babu was riding towards CMT when the speeding truck hit his motorcycle, causing him to lose control and fall. He came under the truck’s wheels and died on the spot.Parts of Bengaluru waterlogged after heavy rains; daily life disruptedThe Yeshwantpur Traffic Police conducted an inspection and registered a case. The truck driver was taken into custody and further investigation is underway.In the second incident, 38-year-old vendor Mahesh, a resident of Goraguntepalya, was killed after his motorcycle crashed into a lorry parked on the Peenya flyover around 3.30 am.Mahesh was on his way to Dasanapura market, where he sold lemons.According to police, the lorry had been parked on the flyover without warning signs or hazard lights. Mahesh failed to notice the stationary vehicle and crashed into it.He sustained severe injuries and died at the spot. The Peenya Traffic Police registered a case and are investigating the incident.
