Chief Superintendent suspended

Kalaburagi: Kalaburagi Central Jail Chief Superintendent R Anitha has been suspended pending departmental inquiry, following prima facie evidence with regard to alleged ‘royal treatment’ to prisoners in the jail.In an order issued by Prisons and Correctional Services Department DGP Alok Kumar has stated that the officer is not permitted to leave the headquarters without permission from the competent authority. It is alleged that during R Anitha’s tenure, the central jail was in the news for all the wrong reasons, including fights among inmates.
