Kalaburagi: The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officials conducted raid at the house of an examination candidate in New Ojha Layout on Wednesday (Septmber 9) in connection with Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) recruitment scam. A team of CID officials raided the residence of Mamata, a candidate for the appointment of veterinary officer and verified the documents. The raid was conducted by the team headed by Kalaburagi CID Deputy Superintendent of Police Aslam Pasha.Vet officer recruitment scam: Karnataka HC rejects anticipatory bail plea of suspended KPSC chairmanThe raid was based on a tip off that Mamata was appointed to the post of veterinary officer after making a deal through KPSC member Shanta Hosmani. CID officials collected information about the financial transactions related to the recruitment and the persons who were in contact with the candidate.There are serious allegations of question paper leakage, illegal assistance to candidates and money dealing in the examination held for the recruitment of 400 veterinary officer posts in the state.
