New Delhi: The BJP on Thursday announced more than two dozen appointments of organisational joint general secretaries across states, a day after unveiling new state in-charges and restructuring its media team. Under the new arrangements, national joint general secretary (organisation) Shivprakash will oversee organisational affairs in Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Goa, while his counterpart Saudan Singh has been assigned in Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal. The long-awaited organisational reshuffle largely retains existing functionaries, with only a few new faces being inducted. However, no leader has been assigned.V Satish has been assigned the Sanghatak (organisational secretary) of SC and ST Morchas and the Parliamentary Office, while Nagendra will oversee the party’s Varishth Karyakarta Sampark campaign. Both will be based in Delhi.BJP names state in-charges, co-incharges for over 28 states, 8 UTsAjay Jamwal has been appointed as the Maharashtra BJP’s state general secretary (organisation), while Satish Dhond has been named state joint general secretary (organisation) for Maharashtra. In addition, Dhond has been entrusted with coordinating the party’s Janjati Sampark outreach in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Maharashtra, and will work out of Nagpur.Ravindra Raju has been entrusted with organisational responsibilities for Assam and Tripura and will also oversee office construction activities, operating from Guwahati. Bhikhubhai Dalsaniya has been named state general secretary (organisation) for Bihar and will be based in Patna, while Pawan Sai has been appointed to the same post in Jharkhand, with Ranchi as his headquarters.In Himachal Pradesh, Sidharthan has been appointed as the state general secretary (organisation). Arun Binnadi has been named state joint general secretary (organisation) for Gujarat and will function from Rajkot. Among the new appointments, Dharampal has been reappointed as the State General Secretary (organisation) for Uttar Pradesh. His base will be Lucknow. Amitabh Chakraborty has been given organisational responsibility for West Bengal, Minister Srinivasulu for Punjab and Chandigarh, Pawan Rana for Delhi and Haryana, Karmaveer for Chhattisgarh, and Chandrashekhar for Madhya Pradesh. The party has appointed Abhay Giri as the organiser for the Braj region, with his base in Agra. Anant Narayan Mishra has been appointed as the organiser for the Bhagalpur, Purnia, and Kosi regions, with his base in Purnia.
