The re-election was held on September 12 following mass resignations within the association and the recent feud involving Upasana Singh and former office-bearers Poonam Dhillon and Padmini Kolhapure. The 11 resigning members had alleged lack of transparency in the committee and accused CINTAA President Poonam Dhillon and Senior Vice President Padmini Kolhapure of misusing their positions. The fresh election was conducted after the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) called for elections in the wake of multiple resignations from CINTAA’s Executive Committee.
