Govt suspends DHO and THO for protocol violation

Bidar: The District Health and Family Welfare Officer and Basava Kalyan Taluk Health Officers have been suspended by the Commissioner of Health and Family Welfare Services on charges of protocol violation and dereliction of duty.In an order issued to this effect, Commissioner Gurudatta Hegde said that DHO Dhyaneshwar Neeragude and THO Ashok Mylare were suspended, pending inquiry.They had violated protocol during the foundation-laying ceremony of the sub-divisional hospital in Basava Kalyan on September 16.During the ceremony, the banners did not have images of Health Minister U T Khader and Congress leaders had complained of the protocol violation.In this background, the officers have been suspended and transferred. While Niragude has been suspended and transferred to the government hospital in Manvi of Raichur district, Mylare has been suspended and transferred to the government hospital in Afzalpur.
