
KSFA Super Division: RS Jlcis brace fires Rebels to first win
Bengaluru: RS Jlcis struck a brace as Rebels FC registered their first victory of the season with a 3-1 win over Technico Football Foundation in the Karnataka Super Division League Championships at the Bangalore Football Stadium on Tuesday.Jlcis scored in the 12th and 80th minutes, while substitute Mohammad Fardeen Bhat (65th) netted the other for Rebels. Akshay Tyagi (61st) was on target for Technico. Elsewhere, Bangalore City FC blanked United Stars FC 3-0 through Leiphrakpam Kheljit Meitei (44th), Aryan Kamdar (62nd) and Sachin R (65th).MEG & Centre FC maintained their perfect start with a 2-1 win over Sporting Club Bengaluru, joining FC Bengaluru United on nine points from three outings. Vijual KV (15th) and Sarath Narayanan (39th) scored for MEG, while Joseph Labrinawma Sail (25th) replied for SCB. Rebels, meanwhile, moved to four points after three rounds.Having drawn and lost their opening two matches, Rebels were handed the perfect start by Jlcis. The Manipur-born forward, who is into his fourth season in the Super Division and scored nine goals last season, has spent the last seven-eight years in Bengaluru, making him eligible to play as a local.
