‘Priyank incapable of handling Home Ministry’

Lingsugur: Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Chalavadi Narayanswamy ridiculed that Home Minister Priyank Kharge lacks ‘capability’ to handle the portfolio effectively and the recent incidents, including murder, alleged rape and murder of dalit women in the district were a testament to that. He further claimed that law and order in the state has completely collapsed.He was speaking to mediapersons after visiting the house of Ranemma, who was recently found murdered at Karadakal village in Lingasugur town municipal council limits, here on Thursday.For Karnataka government, Adani is a contractor: Priyank Kharge“In the last 15 days, two dalit women and another girl were allegedly raped and murdered in Raichur. This clearly indicates that law and order has collapsed in the state. If the people were afraid of the police, would such incidents occur?,” he questioned.Narayanswamy criticised the government for not sending party representatives to offer condolences to the victims’ family. These incidents should have been discussed in the Session, but the Congress leaders have shortened the session. “We will take to the streets in the coming days,” he warned. He criticised Home Minister Priyank Kharge for being indifferent.
